Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of resources to meet the expected results in terms of quality and timeliness of the software/s developed.
Supervise the software development team and ensure that projects are timed and scheduled properly, and delivered on time and with quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Software Production Management
  • May participate in project scoping in coordination with the Project Manager to capture the needs of the clients
  • Ensure that Development and QA team has appropriate product and technical specifications, direction and resources to deliver the products (software) effectively
  • Establish realistic timelines of deliverables of Software Developers and to the QA team to ensure the product/software needed by the client meets the deadline
  • Propose a software development plan that meets the future needs of the clients and/or market
  • Do research on best practices for development and QA. Apply training to individual or group
Software Development
  • Leads the design, testing, planning, and development of complex projects for software
  • Ensure individual deliverables are meet on time
  • Resolve technical problems in relation to software development
  • Regularly review work processes for areas of improvement
  • Sub-responsibilities:
    • Participate in software development activities
      • Web & desktop development
    • Maintain, enhance and manage existing versions of Folio Plus
    • Maintain, enhance and manage database of Folio Plus Version 4
    • Manage and organize all software built and versioning
    • Ensure all product codes are in accordance to existing company coding guidelines
    • Constantly find ways to improve work process like updating technical and professional knowledge
Team Management
  • Create/suggest process flow per assign department handled
  • To make sure all corresponding department will continuously follow the standard process flow
  • Directly responsible for the supervision of Development and QA team.
  • Monitor team and individual performance, motivate, provide support and guidance to let team members perform up to optimum level
  • Conduct regular appraisal and regular performance feedback
  • Monitor and report on progress towards achievement of deliverables of the team
  • Conduct regular meetings as an avenue for discussion of current updates and/or concerns
  • Recommend policies, procedures or ways to improve employee productivity and job satisfaction
  • Recommend or propose training and development programs appropriate for the team
  • Ensure the team are informed of existing company policies and standard procedures
  • Establish and maintain harmonious and productive working relationship with colleagues
  • Creates an avenue for open communication within functional area or among departments
  • Defuses emotional charged situations and uses them to constructively build greater shared commitment to end goals
  • Promotes knowledge of team’s work to gain support for on-going and future initiatives
  • Promotes a diverse work environment through education, training, and professional development opportunities within the department
  • Sub-responsibilities
    • Plans and coordinate with Software Production Manager in assigning deliverables to each members of the development team
    • Coach and guide team members to the achievement of their individual tasks
    • Conduct regular meetings or as needed to discuss concerns and other issues
    • Updates team members on current and new policies and procedures
    • Monitor subordinate’s performance regularly
    • Maintain a harmonious working relationship with team members and to the rest of the members of the organization
    • Relays to Immediate superior concerns or issues that needs to be elevated
  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT or equivalent
  • At least 5 year of working experience
  • Familiar with C#, SQL, Angular, Web/Mobile
  • NET technology stack, Angular
  • Has proficient knowledge with software architecture and design patterns
  • SQL and Database design
