LINE ROOM SUPERVISOR
 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
Oversees the linen room team and manages overall daily operations of the linen rooms. Ensures constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. Trains Linen Room Staff and ensures quality control are in place and performance output of Linen Room Staff adhere to the standards required by the hotel.
 
JOB SPECIFICATION

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management; Tourism, or any related course
Work : Minimum of (1) year of experience in Linen Room Operations as a Team Leader or position in a supervisory capacity, with (2) years line level experience in the Housekeeping or Linen/Laundry Department
Pre-requisites : Strong leadership abilities, organizational skills, problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills; Has a keen eye to details; Proficiency, at a basic level, with computers and Microsoft Office
Location : Willing to be assigned in Mactan
 
OPERATIONS
1 Manage overall daily operations of the Linen Room
2 Oversee the issuing of linen via a requisition system
3 Perform all stages of linen processing including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading, delivering and cleaning linen room equipment and the linen room area, as needed
4 Checks and ensures cleanliness of the linen rooms
5 Efficiently manage stock and inventory control and the maintenance of all linen and housekeeping supplies and equipment
6 Ensure quality controls are in place for all linen processes, rejecting any exceptions
7 Carry out stock takes and ensure maintenance of linen par stocks
8 Ensure linen and housekeeping supplies are ordered and controlled
9 Ensure consistently high operating standards in linen room in accordance to the hotel brand standards
10 Ensures that all tasks are completed on time and in accordance with established hotel standards
  • Assigns and delegates tasks to staff
  • Follows up on areas that require attention
  • Communicates standards to staff and ensures compliance
