Oversees the regular upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel’s public areas. Trains Public Area Staff and supervises their day-to-day cleaning activities. Inspects and ensures that performance and output of Public Area Attendants are aligned with the standards required by the hotel.

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management; Tourism, or any related course
Work : Minimum of (2) years of experience in Housekeeping Operations as a Team Leader or position in a supervisory capacity and minimum of (2) years line level experience in any aspect of the Housekeeping Department
Pre-requisites : Strong leadership abilities, organizational skills, problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills; Has a keen eye to details; Proficiency, at a basic level, with computers and Microsoft Office; Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
Location : Willing to be assigned in Mactan
1 Supervise the day-to-day cleaning of hotel public areas, which includes the hotel lobby, public rest rooms, lounges, spa, etc. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
2 Perform routine inspections of all public areas, service areas, storerooms, and cleaning equipment in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
3.3 Assign work duties and coordinate breaks to team members
3.4 Schedule and supervise periodical deep cleaning operations on all areas of responsibility
3.5 Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
3.6 Performs any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time
3.7 Ensure consistently high operating standards in housekeeping of all public areas as identified by the hotel brand standards
3.8 Efficiently manage stock and inventory control and the maintenance of all equipment
3.9 Ensures that all tasks are completed on time and in accordance with established hotel standards
  • Assigns and delegates tasks to staff
  • Follows up on areas that require attention
  • Communicates standards to staff and ensures compliance
3.10 Perform routine inspections of all public areas and report any issues to the Asst. Housekeeper
3.11 Ensures that equipment such as vacuum cleaners, baskets, cleaning supplies, etc., are well maintained and in good working order
  • Reports and raises work orders when needed
  • Conducts regular checks on the status of equipment
3.12 Follows up on the work performance and assignments on staff
  • Checks on completion and quality of work of Public Area Attendants
  • Follows up on outstanding work orders and assignments with the Engineering Department
    • Monitors periodical public area cleaning projects undertaken (i.e. shampooing of carpets, polishing of wood flooring, etc.)
