Key tasks of the HR Assistant
- Creates and distributes documents and presentations
- Provides customer service to organization employees
- Sets appointments and arranging meetings
- Maintains calendars of the HR management team
- Participates in recruitment efforts
- Prepares new employee files
- Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation.
- Serves as a point person for all new employee questions
- Provides payroll information by collecting time and attendance records and class counters.
- Facilitates resolutions to any payroll errors
- Completes end of service notice paperwork and assists with exit interviews
- Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- 1-2 years experience in human resources or a related field with a proven track record of success.
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Familiarity with city, regulations, and codes related to employment and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of basic software applications and familiarity with the internet, social media, and email communications.
